On-Farm Services
It is part of Agri-King Area Managers’ duties to play an active role in servicing their clients. Area Managers take samples of your homegrown feedstuffs and send the samples to Agri-King’s Analab for complete analysis. Our state-of-the-art laboratory ensures 24-hour turnaround time and accurate formulation of rations using real-time analysis. Once a personalized ration is developed, Area Managers take time to explain ration changes, discuss herd health, and advise clients.
Supporting each Area Manager is our certified laboratory and its experienced lab technicians. Ration analysts and six Ph.D. nutritionists are also on staff for consultation via our toll free phone number. We work together to increase your profits and reduce your problems. BACK TO TOP
Calf and Heifer
Our goal is to work with clients to economically grow their herd replacements in 24 months or less. The graphs below show Agri-King heifers grow leaner and faster than the standards set by Penn State University for both height and weight.
Products such as Super Calf Tone® and Tri-Lution® can help calves build strong, healthy immune systems to better resist disease. Rations are balanced using either AK Heifer Premix with Rumensin®, or A-K Dairy Fortifier Premium. BACK TO TOP
Dry Cow and Pre-Fresh
High production and great reproduction begins with proper nutrition and fortification in the dry period. Whether you have a separate pre-fresh group or use a one group system, Agri-King can help you get the results you want. Monthly testing coupled with our innovative approach to balancing dry and pre-fresh rations assures Agri-King can help prevent and/or solve your herd problems.
PCI is an Agri-King development superior to DCAB for controlling blood pH in dry and pre-fresh cows for the reduction of milk fever and other metabolic problems.
Do You Know What Herd Health Problems Are Costing You?
...About $300 Per Problem!
according to Cornell University Veterinary School
“It has been conservatively estimated that every problem, such as acidosis, milk fever, displaced abomasum, ketosis, retained placenta or uterine infections, could cost a dairy producer $300 per cow per problem during lactation in veterinary costs and lost production! These problems are directly related to nutrition.”
70 - 80% of veterinary costs are incurred 1-3 weeks post calving
