Types of Silo-King®
Silo-King® is available in dry or water soluble forms.
Silo-King® Plus II is a dry product which comes in 15 kilogram bags. It is designed for use on:
- Alfalfa Silage
- Corn Silage
- High Moisture Shelled Corn

*Application rate depends on crop and conditions (moisture, humidity, maturity, etc.) at harvest.
**High moisture shelled corn must be cracked or rolled to expose the starch prior to ensiling.
Silo-King® WS comes in 200 gram packets. Each 200 gram packet treats 50 Metric Tonnes. This water soluble form is easily used by producers and custom operators on:

To treat alfalfa or corn silage or high moisture shelled corn, dissolve package contents in 50 litres of cool, clean, non-chlorinated water and distribute evenly over forage at a rate of one (1) litre per metric tonne. This provides 4 grams of Silo-King® WS per tonne of forage.
Moisture should be 50% to 60% for alfalfa silage, 60% to 70% for corn silage and 25% to 30% for high moisture shelled corn. High moisture shelled corn should be cracked for best results.
Silo-King® WS contains naturally occuring homolactic strains of lactic acid bacteria specifically selected to aid in the making of high quality feeds.
