Better Dairy Production

A trial featuring over 10,000 cows from 31 different farms sought to measure changes in production when AKMC was incorporated into the diet. By the end of the trial, 75% of the farms experienced increases in energy-corrected milk (ECM), including 61% of farms saw ECM increase by 2.0 pounds or more. Additionally, the farms in the trial saw increases in fluid milk production (average increase of 1.87 lbs.) and fat (0.02%), along with decreases in somatic cell count (average decrease of 14,130).

Dairy Reproduction Success

Conception rate was monitored at multiple large dairies both before and after AKMC was incorporated into their respective rations. Research shows, on 7,119 total breedings, AKMC helped boost conception rates by 3.2 percentage points. Additionally, several farms showed improvements in repeat service conception rates and drops in early embryonic loss.

Swine ADG Advantage

A trial involving newly-weaned pigs (approximately 15 lbs.) sought to determine what impact AKMC had on feed intake, feed conversion and average daily gain (ADG) when paired with feed contaminated with mycotoxins (2 ppm DON). After 21 days, the pigs fed a diet supplemented with AKMC showed considerable improvements in ADG and conversion rates. Additionally, the pigs with the AKMC-supplemented diet saw lower levels of feed refusal, a common sign in mycotoxin-contaminated feeds.
