Agri-King's philosophy is to
help the livestock producer get the most out of each pound
of feed and each head of livestock through accurate, precise
feed analyses and ration formulation.
Our Concept
Del Curley, a retired farmer,
who believed there was a better way to feed livestock,
founded Agri-King in 1968. He saw the success farmers
were having by testing their soil and fertilizing accordingly.
He knew farmers' livestock would benefit if their forages
and grains were tested and, using those results, a balanced
ration was developed. He was right!
Since
1968, Agri-King continues to lead the way in visionary
nutritional technology.
Agri-King was the first to:

Utilize x-ray technology to analyze
for forage minerals;

Develop a viable artificial rumen
utilized for the digestibility of feedstuffs;

Develop analyses for starch;

Develop analyses for lignin;

Routinely analyze for electrolytes
to balance cation/anion ratios;

Develop NIR calibration sets for amino
acids; and

Regularly utilize manure analyses
for problem solutions.
Agri-King's main purpose is to improve
your herd health through highly fortified and properly

Agri-King Service Includes:

Agri-King Area Managers gather detailed
information about our client's facilities and livestock;

Area Manager takes samples of all
livestock feedstuffs;

Samples are sent to Agri-King's state-of-the-art
laboratory (ANALAB);

A personalized balanced ration is
formulated from the analyses;

Rations are checked for accuracy by
Nutritionists and the Ration Department;

Rations are faxed or mailed to the
client and Area Manager;

Area Manager again checks the ration
for accuracy;

Area Manager helps the client implement
the ration; and

Area Manager continues providing service,
service, service.

Assisting with Environmental Concerns
Environmental concerns are
becoming a top priority to the farming community and
Agri-King has stepped forward to assist the farmers
in becoming better stewards of their land.
In Dairy and Beef
Silo-King®, our premier forage and
grain treatment, ensures greater digestibility. Improved
nutrient digestibility increases available energy for
rumen bacteria and milk production and may reduce the
amount of feed required to produce milk. Less feed fed
results in lower manure production and thus less phosphorus
and nitrogen which is a major environmental concern.
In Swine
The dawning of the antibiotic era in animal
agriculture brought successful growth promotants and
therapeutic feed additives to the farm. After over 50
years of antibiotic use, however, we now realize that
low-level feeding of antibiotics will increase the population
of single and multiple antibiotic resistant bacteria.
Therefore, many antibiotics are no longer effective
against certain strains of bacteria.
There is now a move to return some aspects
of animal agriculture and human medicine to the pre-antibiotic
era. Several years ago, Agri-King's research scientists
began exploring effective alternatives to emerging antibiotic
resistance issues. This led to the development and release
of Agri-King's direct fed microbial feed additives for
livestock. These direct fed microbials in return, have
spawned a new awareness in the critical role microbes
and microbial nutrition play in maintaining animal health
and decreasing pathogens associated with food born illnesses
at processing. Furthermore these direct fed microbial
products do not contribute to antibiotic resistance
in pigs, cattle, or humans.
These products have been shown to enhance
the population of beneficial bacteria in the gut while
significantly reducing the harmful pathogenic population.

producer, was 48 when he developed an
idea based on the success farmers realized
by testing their soil and fertilizing
accordingly. That concept, he theorized,
should work to balance rations for livestock.
AND...IT
DID! The year was 1968.
